This course is located on Arnold Palmer Drive, it is Arnold Palmer's Signature Golf Course at West Neck. This design makes the average golfer want to spend the day on the course. This courses designs came from Fred Couples and Gene Bates. This course is playable and full of enjoyment. It hosts natures wetlands, natural depressions and elevation changes that are not found in this area. Beware of the natural wetland winds, the Tall Oaks, Beech and Elm Trees around the course will not hold them back. JACK NICKLAUS SIGNATURE GOLF COURSE BAY CREEK 7417-yard, par 72
Located on the Eastern Shore, you will find historic landmarks from Cape Charles' 19th and early 20th century railroad days. This course tests the passionate players of every skill level. Tee placement challenges the low-handicapper. The fairways and bent grass greens have more than 90 formal bunkers and large waste bunkers. Also on the Eastern Shore and in the same complex as Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. Palmer and Nicklaus (for the first time) designed courses for the same club in Bay Creek. Palmers course indulges golfer's with manicured fairways and smooth greens. Five sets of tees ensure a challenge for the avid golfer as well as fun for the novice golfer. This course was inspired by Pete Dye Design with help from Hall of Famer Curtis Strange. The course has enough challenges for the advanced player but timid enough for the beginner. Waste areas, natural grasses and rolling fairways are used in Dye Designs layout. Many techniques were incorporated into this course to allow players of all types to enjoy the greens. This course was designed by world renowned architect Rees Jones. It has received the "Best of the Beach" award for 15 years running. Was included in Golf Digest's "One of the Best New Courses" when it opened in 1982. Hell's Point is a strategy course, offering 61 sculpted santraps, fairway angles, and lakes. KINGSMILL GOLF COURSES
Historic Williamsburg, bordered by the James River is where Kingsmill's three championship courses are located. Designed by Pete Dye, Arnold Palmer, Tom Clark and Curtis Strange. Kingsmill made the list of "The 75 Best Golf Resorts in North America" by Golf Digest. THE RIVER COURSE 6831-yard layout, par 71 This course is Ranked #6 of "Virginia's Top Ten Golf Courses" by Golfweek Magazine. Pete Dye Design was the original architect. This course just underwent a major renovation, Pete Dye was once again on hand to oversee the project. It is a golfers bliss with a range of holes for all skill levels. This course is a who's who of PGA and LPGA champions. THE PLANTATION COURSE 6432-yard layout, par 72 Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay worked together to create this course which favors accurate iron play and good putting. The woods and ravines along with water on eight holes makes this course a challenge. Landmarks from Richard Kingsmill's 1736 Plantation are seen throughout. THE WOODS COURSE 6659-yard layout, par 72 This course is Ranked #10 of "Virginia's Top Ten Golf Courses" by Golfweek Magazine. A Zagat Survey lists The Woods as one of America's Top Golf Courses. Design architect Tom Clark partnered with Curtis Strange to develop this secluded course. This course will make use of every club in your bag with a mix of long and short holes. One of its many features is the double green with a bunker in the center. |
